- Set up screen sharing on the Mac (Screen Sharing, is nothing else than VNC server.)
- Set up your router/DHCP server to always assign the same IP address to your Mac, or set an assigned I.P. to your desktop on your network.
- Set up your router to pass all traffic on port 5900 (VNC) to your Desktop (the IP address from step 2.)
- Create an account on DynDNS, create a dynamic host, and set up a client for DynDNS on your Mac (some routers include a client for DynDNS.) This will make a host like yourname.dyndns.org always pointing to your current public IP address.
- Make your VNC client (on the iPad) connect to your dynamic host (yourname.dyndns.org.)
