WebDav allows you to use Confluence like a file server. You can browse the page tree like folders on a hard drive and download / upload files which becomes attachments.

Some tips

Plan Ahead
There are 2 side effects of using Confluence this way. First, you begin to see how disorganized parts of your wiki have become (contact us for information on how we can implement an information architecture strategy to manage your growing wiki) and second, it becomes very easy to upload a LOT of content fast. This is great, but takes careful planning on your part.

Make Backups
Webdav makes it easy to do a lot of damage really quickly to your beutiful wiki. Be careful.
