This menu component will retrieve all the content in the portal for analysis in a spreadsheet. Perfect for doing a content inventory, clean up or in preparation for a migration.
- Create a new menu component
- Select all authoring templates
- select all descendants
- Select the all site areas
- Results per Page: 2000
- Start Page: 1 (change to 2 and rerun and append results until you get them all)
Header:
Component Design for each matching Content:
- Preview in a site area like the portal home page.
- Copy the results to note pad
- Change the Start Page: to 2 and repeat, appending the results each time to your text notepad
- Save the file as: Content Inventory.txt
- Open in excel and use the | as a delimiter.
- Volia!

Note that the example above depends on what you have named the fields in your authoring templates. In any line above that starts with: <AptrixCmpnt
Those may be different in your implementation. The rest are common across WCM 5.1

Note that for WCM 6.1, the tag, AptrixCmpnt becomes element. I assume this would work for WCM 6.1 also with just some minor changes.
