Instead of dragging your docs all the way to the Deck of your Mac, how about just a few pixels up to the toolbar on your Finder window?
This little trick makes my life easier, hope it will for you too.
Step 01: Open a new window on your Finder
Make sure you have your Applications Window open (Cmd + Shift + A)
Step 02: Right click … Customize Toolbar
This looks similar, right?
Step 03: Drag software icon form the Application’s window
So this is what does the whole trick, if you haven’t open your App window yet it might be a good moment for you to do so (Cmd + Shift + A).
Select an icon, in this case I went for the Preview since I work frequently with images…
Click “Done” and voilà!!
